詩人白居易曾經在《長恨歌》中寫道：「回眸一笑百媚生，六宮粉黛無顏色。春寒賜浴華清池，溫泉水滑洗凝脂。侍兒扶起嬌無力，始是新承恩澤時。」在這優美詩句之中的華清池，正位於中國陝西省西安，自古以來就是著名的溫泉勝地，而詩句中描繪的出浴情境，即是楊貴妃在驪山溫泉內沐浴的情境。
