1/10停駛25年的深澳火車復駛，火車從瑞芳到海科館（八斗子）來回行駛，目前每天僅有20個班次（約1小時1班），要搭乘的要特別注意火車時刻。 深奧支線在日治時代昭和11年（1936年）完工營運，原本路線是從基隆八尺門、八斗子、深澳到水湳洞（濂洞）的運煤礦鐵路，將水湳洞金瓜石聚落的煤礦運到瑞芳，轉運出口到其他城市。
